Rock & Ropes
BRANDING
TEAM PROJECT
Rock and ropes is a climb community and climbing equipment store, aimed to unite adventurous people - adrenaline junkies in love with mountains and nature, in need of a space for exploration and self growth, and finding your own family with people alike.
This is a team project, created hand in hand with graphic designer Arina Stulovskaya during our studies together.
The main idea was to make the logo dynamic, yet minimalistic and eye catching. We based our thought process around fairly simple and understandable images - mountains, bridge and support. The key concept behind this logo was to represent the name "Rock and Ropes", which is why the logo consists of two R’s. Its triangular shape refers to the geometric image of mountains.
We used four colours in our corporate palette, orange being the main one. Orange reflects sociability, trust, and a warm attitude toward future clients.
KEY VISUALS AND POSTERS
The key image of the brand is showed in several versions of the posters.
Some of the images that we’ve found imperative to include are images of rock climbers, equipment, and our primary colour from the brands’ palette.
We wanted to make these key visuals bright and energetic, yet minimalistic, so that they would convey the meaning of the brand and also provide information about possible store services for the client.
MEDIA
Media representation is one of the key ways for Rock&Ropes to popularize itself as a brand, and attract new clients, as well as form a community of climb enthusiasts. For media representation we have created a concept for the website, currently in development, to give clients easy access to information about community activities and climbing store.
MERCH
Rock and ropes offers a variety of products as merch. Having its own store, it provides an opportunity to buy clothes and various accessories, all created with branded graphics, colour palette and variable logo.
As a branded graphic, we chose to use an image of a topographic map of the mountains, making it more minimalistic, yet detailed.
Such visuals concentrate on the
nature of the brand's core products and at the same time make it more recognizable among competitors.
PRINTED PRODUCTS
In addition, we have created a few printed products - eye catching brochures with information about the community and the climbing store, and notebooks,
to keep track of your climbing process and documenting your journey
APP
Besides, we designed a prototype application where customers can visit the online store or easily find the information they need: notifications about future tours, information about various new products, and so on.
STORE
We have also created some renders, showing both the interior and exterior of the Rock&Ropes store. We chose to use brands’ signature colours, as well as prints and key visuals- posters and brochures, to tie the imagery altogether.
